Webinar: Don’t Pee in the Pool

April 27, 2009 | by Joseph Manna

The video is available now! Last week, we held a free webinar with hundreds of viewers where Marc Chesley, Ryan Peterson and James Thompson shared best practices, guidelines and tips for marketers to improve their email deliverability. We have a recording of the Webinar available, along with questions from our audience.

The Don’t Pee in the Pool email deliverability Webinar was an excellent way for us to help discuss the hot topics about email marketing, email sending practices and to share examples of Marc’s ‘Three Pillars of Email Deliverability.

It may take a moment for the video to play, if so, hit pause then wait a few seconds and hit play. Thanks for your patience as we uploaded this. :-)

VIDEO:

You may also view the presentation and download the PDF so you can quickly glance at it any time.

We’d like to know what you thought about the Webinar and see if you have questions, we’ll do our best to answer them and help you. Post your comments below!

We know about the video quality, this is due to compression so most users on the Web can enjoy the video. We’re in the midst of exploring options to better optimize these recordings. Additionally, we know about the beep; that’s from GoToWebinar. If you happen to have any suggestions, shoot us a comment, thanks!

    Hi,

    Thanks for making this Webinar.

    (1) You have mentioned that we may also view the presentation and download the PDF. But when I clicked the link I’m able to see only the Presentation and I’m unable to see any link in that page (http://www.slideshare.net/infusionsoft/dont-pee-in-the-pool) to download in PDF form. Please help.

    (2) I wrote to your Sales Department (sales@infusionsoft.com) 15 days back. I think my email has not reached them. Please tell me how to reach them?

    Thanks.

Audio quality is extremely poor- even with high speed DSL. Can you provide this in a better format? I’m interesting hearing presentation, but not when quality is this poor.

I can’t say I had the same issue Randy. Quality was fine for me, except for a recurring beep every 10 seconds or so.
I saw this presentation at InfusionCon 09′ and was very pleased to see Infusionsoft bringing the issue of user responsibility to the forefront. Infusionsoft can only do so much to uphold the integrity of email deliverability. At a certain point it really becomes the responsibility of every Infusionsoft user to ensure they are following certain guidelines and ensuring that their email marketing activities are consistent with best practices.
And if a little more incentive was needed, following email best practices is just good, solid marketing.

    Randy,

We apologize if the quality isn’t that great. I can tell you that the quality was superb on the call and the attendees appreciated that. Do you have any suggestions on how we could improve the quality of audio when using GoToMeeting?

Thanks for your feedback, we’re always open to improving.

    ~Joseph

Regarding your problems with GoToWebinar, I'd be happy to show you more about Netviewer, which allows you to do everything you are doing with GoToWebinar, but without the problems. My company, Console Call, is a service for those who host online meetings like webinars, teleconferences, video conferences and virtual events. From the looks of this webinar, I can see you might have room for improvement. You can reach me at 888-766-6677 anytime.
