    1) Often we forget the little guy, the SMB, in our discussions of the comings and goings of the Internet marketing industry. Sure there are times like this when a report surfaces talking about their issues and concerns but, for the most part, we like to talk about big brands and how they do the Internet marketing thing well or not so well……..

    2) The Center for Media Research has released a study by Vertical Response that shows just where many of these ‘Main Street’ players are going with their online dollars. The big winners: e-mail and social media. With only 3.8% of small business folks NOT planning on using e-mail marketing and with social media carrying the perception of being free (which they so rudely discover it is far from free) this should make some in the banner and search crowd a little wary……….

With Facebook and Twitter being among the leaders of the Social networks, marketing as a small business is being transformed..
Respondents according to the Vertical Response survey appear to need some differentiation with the use of SE marketing and Social media Marketing.

    Well according to This questionnaire
USA is the last country in the world, which will come out of recession. Apparently it is based solely on people’s opinions, but the fact, that basically 75% of 100% USA citizens think, that recession is not over yet and 17% of them think, that it will not even be over until 2-3 years, is not realistic. I have no idea, whether people have serious financial problems or they just don’t think realistically.
  • Problems need answers. Businesses are built on fulfilling needs. Just like Infusionsoft, for the majority of time, we (jiveSYSTEMS) don’t focus on the economy. Our goal is to provide the best service we can, at the lowest possible price.

Is the recession over? No, not by a long shot! Thousands of people with families have lost their jobs. Recovering from that is a process that takes time. However, many opportunities have been created. Now is the time to start making your dreams a reality. For many, they have nothing to lose and everything to gain. Time, energy and creativity are the solution to almost every problem [not money].

My Dad always told me, “figure out what you could do day in and day out for the rest of your life, and then design a way to make money from it.” And that is exactly what I do!

I am an idealist and an eternal optimist, regardless of the odds or how the chips fall—I wholeheartly believe there is a silver lining to almost every situation.

How do we crush the recession? Don’t complain about! It happened and it sucks!!!! We can’t rollback time like supermarkets do prices. How do we crush the recession? We focus on fulfilling needs.

We interviewed a number of small business people on the east coast this morning. Their orders are not picking up, their customers have no credit, things continue at a standstill. Maybe things are not getting worse at this point--but are they getting better? When a patient falls ill and he is lying in a hospital room, maybe he reaches the point where the fever is not getting higher and he is stabilized. Would you say he is getting better? I think at this point we can perhaps say the economy is not getting any worse.
