Highlights of our 2010 Summer Release

Infusionsoft 2010 Summer ReleaseWe’re happy to let you know about the new features and enhancements we’ve made to Infusionsoft in our 2010 Summer Release. In the next couple weeks (or so), all users will receive the latest version of the software. I’ve included several key features in the app that will interest you. One of the best parts … you get all these enhancements at no additional charge.

The focus of this release is on making our software easy to use. This is important because we know that it can get pretty complex when you have as many features under the hood as we do.

Here are the new features and enhancements in this release:

  • Real-Time UPS Shipping Integration — We’ve now made it easy to automatically calculate shipping rates when using the Infusionsoft shopping cart feature. This was a top request from users, and we’re glad to have made it into the app.
  • Email Builder (Beta) – The Email Builder is a new tool that allows users to create beautiful emails that are supercharged with automation and drag-and-drop functionality that, together, allows small business owners to create better looking emails that match their brand and deliver more effective results in converting prospects and customers.
  • Data Import Supports Outlook® and iContact® – In addition to making the data import wizard in the app easy and fast, we’ve expanded support to import people from Microsoft Outlook® address book and the iContact® email marketing provider.
  • Overall Usability Improves – We’ve made a number of enhancements to make the app more organized. We’ve cleaned up and styled the “I want to” menu and the navigation bars in the app. In addition, we’ve made our Little Box o’ Stats multi-instance and nameable for a better custom experience.
  • Double Your Sales Success Path, Now in the App – Users who have followed our Double Your Sales Success strategy have wanted a quick reference in the app to guide them along and help them be successful. We’ve done it! Originally slated for this fall, we have expedited it for inclusion in this release to help all users.
  • Help Center: Streamlined Help & Support – We’ve updated our extensive support knowledge base from “Fusebox” to “Help Center” to make it easier for users to get support from Infusionsoft. The menu in the app is also cleaned up for better usability.

You can read the highlights of the upcoming changes to your Infusionsoft app by visiting the Help Center. We’ll update the Help Center with revised documentation once everyone has the release.

We’re at the final stages of our Beta program which means we’ll soon release the latest version to users. We’ve had great feedback from users – so we’re confident all our users will enjoy the changes.

Starting this evening, we will release to a small group of users and plan to release it to all users within approximately two weeks. For the up-to-the-minute details, follow @Infusionsoft on Twitter or “Like” us on Facebook.

Stay tuned this week on the blog (subscribe here) – we’ll provide you all the info and videos you want to know about these features and enhancements.

Something I would like to add to the wishlist: It would be really great if everywhere you see the name of a webform/orderform etc. you could ALSO see the NUMBER for that same form. This would make a BIG improvement in the usability for me and I am sure many other users.

Good question. I'm not totally sure of the question here, but I'll address this two ways.

To see the ID of Web Forms, you can mouse over the name of it and see in the status bar the ID. In addition, the “ID” field also has the corresponding Web Form ID. Screenshot: http://screencast.com/t/NDRhMWE0OTAt

You can also determine which “XID” corresponds to which Web Form by searching for the XID in the Web Form search. XID's are an encrypted Web Form ID that ensures people submit the proper Web Form to Infusionsoft. Here's a screenshot of a Web Form submission and searching for the XID; it will only show one Web Form: http://screencast.com/t/ZDc3YzU3

I hope that helps. If not, let me know what you're trying to do and I'll see if I can throw up a better example. Thanks again for dropping by and sharing your feedback on our blog. :-)
