• Joshua and Tom,

These are excellent suggestions and great feedback. I know first hand that when I got my hands on Infusionsoft, it was a bit overwhelming; so I totally empathize with that. We have plans to help address the "mysteries" within the software and make it more approachable for all users.

We also have a huge interest in quickly authoring videos when demonstrate more business strategy as well as tutorial-like content about Infusionsoft. Stay tuned!

Thanks again for both of your feedback, we very much appreciate it. :)

  • One idea I ran across the other day that I thought might fit here would be a "look over my shoulder" section. It would walk users through the steps involved in "something," which could change each week or month, as time allowed. I, like many, are very visual. A video of someone actually putting the pieces together on a particular step or process - and talking about it while showing them actually doing it - would be very helpful.
  • In reference to your question -- I think the most valuable content is marketing specific and relates directly to the use of the software to automate various marketing, follow up and workflow functions. With that in mind, it would be a powerful addition to have a "featured client" segment (monthly or weekly) who might be willing to come and share some of their Infusionsoft marketing best practices. Obviously, this content could be delivered in several ways - video, audio, transcribed and posted on the blog, etc. The key here I think would be to do all three so that you're able to hit all 3 learning styles - visual, auditory and kinesthetic.

Another valuable addition would be tutorials and/or teaching articles that help users make key distinctions regarding how/why to use certain functions the software offers. I remember getting my application about 8 months back and being a bit "overwhelmed" with how to make use of the various functions. For instance, I didn't know whether to use Opportunity Records or simply keep to People. I didn't know if the sales pipeline was right for my business or if I should just stick to completion scenarios or some combination of both. And I just recently started to overhaul my sales workflow to incorporate Activity History Templates....a powerful tool I hardly knew existed before ICC training.

The software is powerful and, after some time and fiddling you figure it out, but it would be great if you had folks from specific industries sharing (free or paid) content that helped new users make these key distinctions during setup / implementation.

And, of course, I enjoy Clate and Scott's posts because they offer penetrating insight into the core problems and issues small businesses face in today's cluttered marketing environment - those articles are refreshing and educational.

    Hope this helps.
