Infusionsoft’s Ultimate Marketer Contest

October 22, 2009 | by Joseph Manna

The 2010 Ultimate Marketer ContestIt’s that time for us to find the marketer who best uses Infusionsoft to market their business and reward them for it. Last year’s Ultimate Marketer was a huge success, where Dan Bradbury drove away with a Porsche (and traded that in for an Aston Martin) so we’re bringing it back and introducing more ways where you can win and score yourself a sweet vacation package to anywhere in the world.

We sent customers notifications to their app as well as via email informing them we’re taking submissions for the 2010 Ultimate Marketer Contest. Yes, it’s on and you can totally score yourself some sweet prizes just by doing what you’re already doing to attract more leads, follow-up with customers and close more deals with Infusionsoft.

The theme for the Ultimate Marketer Contest is “Double Your X,” which refers to the fact that as entrepreneurs you use many different metrics to measure your success of marketing efforts. You could replace “X” with sales, customers, website traffic, leads, repeat customers, conversion rates, time with family or social media campaigns. We know sales volume is the general metric for measuring growth, but not everyone measures their small business that way, so we’ve opened the contest up so anyone can apply if they’ve netted some impressive results in either of the above areas.

The entry period is from now to December 31st, 2009. You have plenty of time to gather your results, lessons learned and prepare your entry. But, what you want to do is to let us know you are applying to become the next Ultimate Marketer.

We’ll review the entries and look at all factors put into a winning campaign. The only requirement to win is that you must be an Infusionsoft customer and you want to show how Infusionsoft is helping you grow or sustain your growth of your business. We’ll ask the finalists to present at the upcoming InfusionCon 2010 conference and from there, the winners will be chosen. (We’re still workin’ on the site, so stay tuned for more details on it.)

We received feedback from several people at InfusionCon last year saying they could have entered and won – now is your chance! It’s alright if you’re not completely sure, you can enter and decide if your wish to nominate your business later.

“This is a great way for us to reward customers for their creativity and execution of their marketing campaigns,” says Nicole Shoots, the marketing coordinator for Infusionsoft. “We’re excited to open up the contest to more entrepreneurs so they can win and help other users leverage Infusionsoft in ways people could only dream of.”

Check out the Ultimate Marketer contest page for more details, so you can apply. Rules and other conditions will be provided after your let us know you’re interested. It’s a great way to become noticed for your creative marketing campaigns. You decide what marketing effort was successful and we’ll pick the winner.

If you have any questions, let us know. I’ll work with Nicole to help you apply and address any concerns you have. (Oh, and if you have fashion-related questions, she’ll answer those too.)

Clate & Staff. InfusionSoft Ultimate Marketer's CONTEST? GAME ON! guess what? YOU are INCLUDED. If you talk your walk, YOU GOTTA WALK YOUR TALK. And by the way, let's change the parameters of the game, which shouldn't be a problem given the in-house advantage you have (like a casino). Your last campaign was “Double Your Sales”, now you come at us with “Double your X”. I'd like to turn that around (thanks Byron Katie) and let's get back to the walking the talk. Let's do the next (this) campaign, changing it from Doubling your Sales” to then “Doubling Your X”, let's change THAT to “Let's “X” your Sales”. And like I said earlier. TAG, you're IT. Let's see who can “x” their sales … “double, triple, quadrupole, 10x, more times your sales? Sounds more thrilling, more “wow” factor, more …' ya, baby, tip my hat to you” inspiring' type of stuff. Like I said, you're in. Poker up. What's your skin in the game? And by the way, don't worry, I got your back …. I have a way to take Infusionsoft to a whole new level. Do You? How fast can you grow? Faster than all your customers, that will allow them to grow just as fast when they implement? Let's talk, as soon as you change the terms of the contest. Time to take your Dreaming Room to a whole new dreaming Room. Take your customers along too. Let's rock…. We need to talk.

      Steve,

I would like to think we walk the talk that we do. We've doubled our sales in addition to several other factors including customer satisfaction and overall reach of our messaging. However, I wouldn't want to necessarily be competing with customers on the backs of customers — that's just not cool.

This contest is incentive enough for anyone who doubles, triples or even 10X their “X.” In that case. We let that interpretation be in the hands of participants. Again, sales is not the only metric to measure entrepreneurial success — time, efficiency, growth, retention, customer satisfaction — are all valid areas where every small business owner can highlight and grow.

Thanks for the comments Steve. We appreciate the passionate response. :)

I`m a BIG fan of Infusionsoft. My comment wasn`t about competing with the customer base… it is about adding something new to Infusionsoft that can boost both Infusionsoft`s revenues as well as its customers. Will discuss on a private basis. The thrust of my posting was a challenge to Infusionsoft to get bigger, faster, and more successful than it is even currently contemplating….and that can only be achieved through customer satisfaction, we are on the same page regarding the company walking its talk. I`m just excited about the opportunity I have found that may help Infusionsoft grow its business as well as my own. It`s two thumbs way up to you guys and gals with what you have accomplished to date.
