Giving Back to the Community

August 6, 2009 | by Joseph Manna

Infusionsoft-FoodDriveAt Infusionsoft, we tend to get very wrapped up with our solution that helps small businesses without giving much focus on the community. We worked together to help improve the lives of people here in the Phoenix area in collaboration with the United Food Bank, we donated five very heavy, full boxes of food.

And it wasn’t just Ramen…

As you know, we’re a very giving, compassionate gang of entrepreneurs and customer evangelists who work together to improve the world around us, including our community locally here in Phoenix, AZ.

Here’s our hero shot of the collection of food with a handful of our employees who contributed:

Team Infusionsoft Donates to the Community

We did this with no benefit, special promotion or advertising focus. We did it after Brett Gilliland, our Built-To-Last Guy, sent an email to the troops asking people to give whatever they can to improve the lives of people who need it. Expecting only a couple boxes, we blew it out of the water with five overflowing boxes for the United Food Bank.

This reminds us that no matter what you’re doing to grow, always care and contribute to others around you. It builds character and awareness of who you and your business are — and keeps you in touch with the needs of your local community. It doesn’t have to be food, clothes or monetary donations, giving back to the community can be offering services free of charge to non-profit organizations, for example.

We’d like to thank you fellow Infusionites and Benson Systems (the owners of our building) for putting it together and helping improve the lives of families across Arizona!

    Hello Joe,

First of all great posting and my congratulations to everyone at Infusionsoft. Over the last year of my association with Infusionsoft, it has been demonstrated to me that Infusionsoft, really “Gets It”… This does not mean they get it right all the time. But they are coming from the right space..

I have been looking at the “Power of Giving”and it's effect for a long time. My causes of choice are the YMCA, and LiveSTRONG… Earlier this year, as we started our “Build Strong Kid's” Campaign, I thought about, giving and how it can impact CRM Efforts….

So, I made it a Topic for one the CRM Tips for Business… I though that I would post a link here to that CRM Tip… as I believe it underlines the Importance of this little recognized aspect of doing business over the long haul… here is the link http://bit.ly/1p0Csz

Keep up this great work… and let's make a difference.
