Our Latest Software Updates

August 24, 2009 | by Clate Mask

We’ve done some killer things to the software over the past few months — no required set-up fees, more self-help resources, simplification of the software throughout, “widgetized” dashboards, stunningly cool Outlook integration, simplified follow-up sequences, easier email authoring and much more. I wanted to give you the inside scoop into how I feel about all these changes, from one business owner to another.

The new dashboards are awesome because you can customize your Infusionsoft home page to show you the top reports, stats, tasks or whatever else you want to see.  No more digging for reports, they’re right there when you need them when you log in. It’s pretty cool stuff.

I have to admit — my favorite thing is our recent Infusionsoft Outlook Integration we released two weeks ago. Seriously, it’s revolutionary! I do everything in Infusionsoft (add contacts, add notes, add tasks, tag people, start follow-up sequences, search for people, view the vital stats of any contact and a bunch of other stuff) directly from within Outlook.  It’s beautiful for Outlook users.  Probably the best thing about our integration is that it has driven my own usage of Infusionsoft through the roof.  I now work all day, every day in Infusionsoft… without ever leaving Outlook.  Beautiful.

Even more beautiful?  We’ve been getting rave reviews from our customers (except for the non-Outlook users who are pleading for this type of functionality across other email clients). If you haven’t tried it yet, give it a shot as it reflects the passion of my team in helping you enjoy doing business again.

Clate – I finally took a moment to install the Outlook integration and play around. All I can say is WOW! Like you, I'm not “in” Infusionsoft like I used to be because I have a team setting up follow-up sequences, web forms, reports, etc. Without any training, from Outlook I was able to easily add a new contact to Infusionsoft, add notes, initiate a follow-up sequence, tag, etc. Very cool! I'm biased – but serious props to the product managers & developers that made this a reality.

Totally LOVE the concept of Infusionsoft. You guys definitely hit the nail on the head.
You are probably “slaying it” out there in the small and medium biz market, so feel free to take this as just one man's viewpoint. I don't know if there are others like me who feel the same way…
As an individual practitioner who is booting up a venture (that sorely needs your kind of “drip marketing” follow-up tool–because I can only do so much myself!) I can't quite justify the $200/mo yet. And the 15 days is not really enough time to get it all set up (I've played around with it when I was part of another company), dial-in my follow-up messages just right, and then make Infusionsoft make me enough cheese to pay for itself.
This is sort of 1/2 the money and the other half is the risk of not having enough time to set it up before I start to freak that I'm going to have wasted the $ 3-6 months later. :)
If you're ever open to considering this, it would be great if there were, say, a 3 month low-barrier-to-entry type pricing that ramped up after the 3 mo period. $59 or something.
All specifics aside, the idea would be giving new, single license type subscribers enough of fighting chance to make Infusionsoft generate enough revenue and get on top of the maddening # of things a guy/gal who has no other employees (yet!) has to do.
My fear is, I'd start down the 15 day path, find out it's not enough, and then start panicking about yet another systems type investment that I'm not able to quite fully leverage.
Hope this makes sense and thanks for what you have put together.
