
In our Fall Release, we’ve made it easier for users to work through a list of Contacts and Opportunities saving them time (and many clicks) so they can follow-up and take action more efficiently.
Salespeople, rejoice! When users perform a search for Contacts and Opportunities in Infusionsoft, they’ll be shown a new search view we call Interactive List View. I’ll show you around this new feature and explain how it benefits our users.
Imagine this:
You have a list of leads you need to call. After a while of hearing the intros to a lot of answering machine messages, you finally get an actual human being on the phone. You decide that it would be a good idea to write down the details of the call while on the phone with them, so you click into their record, wait for the page to load, scroll down to find the “Notes” section, click the “Add Note” button, and then see the “Add Note” pop-up window. Whew!
Does this sound familiar to you? Wouldn’t it be great if you could simply add a note or do other common actions for a person or opportunity directly from the list, instead of having to go into their record? Now you can!
We introduced a feature called Interactive List View across both the People and Opportunity searches. From this view, you will be able to do the following for an individual person or opportunity:
- Add a note
- View the latest note history
- View, apply or remove tags
- View, add or remove tasks and appointments
- View, start or stop follow-up sequences
- Send an email

Why did we add this view to Infusionsoft?
From our customer research, we noticed that those who use Infusionsoft as a CRM for working leads through a sales pipeline were seeking the benefit of working through, updating and taking action on a list of leads with greater speed and efficiency. Basically, they were doing similar tasks across their contacts and they wanted to save time doing it.
This led us to come up with a solution that would allow you to perform the most common tasks on your leads directly from your lead list, instead of having to go into each record one-by-one. This makes it much easier to update and move from lead to lead as you work through your list. Additionally, users can completely customize which data they need to see and exclude non-critical data, giving them even greater focus on the job at hand.

I want to point out that if you need to go into a lead’s record, you can return to the exact point in the list where you left off simply by clicking “back to search results” or “Save & Search.” You no longer have to re-orient yourself when you return to your list. Infusionsoft will remember that for you!
Also, for those who want to continue to use the more familiar “Grid View” that Infusionsoft has today, you can simply click the view toggle button that appears in the top right above your list.

I’m excited for these changes and can’t wait until all of you have these updates in your app! This is just the beginning. We have big plans to make Infusionsoft even better for our target users as we continue to learn more about them and the specific benefits they are looking for.
