In partnership with Great Place to Work Institute, Entrepreneur Magazine published the list of winners. On that list, you’ll find many great companies who have invested substantially in their company culture because it pays off in a big way.
As any of you who have followed Infusionsoft should know, we have an amazing company culture and a fantastic work environment. As the Built to Last Champion for Infusionsoft, I knew we were worthy of national recognition for our workplace. If you have a few minutes, watch our culture video and see for yourself! After two years of not making the list, we were elated when we found out we finally made the list!

What did we change to become recognized? Honestly, I don’t think it was massive improvements to our culture or ‘workplace perks.’ I think we just got better at sharing what we have with others, taking pride in telling our story and sharing our DNA with others.
It’s only appropriate to recognize those who played a part in securing this victory for our company.
First, a huge shout-out to our founders for building a company on a solid foundation, specifically a Core Philosophy made up of our Dream, Vision, Purpose and Mission and our Core Values. Everyone who interacts with Infusionsoft should be familiar with the ‘why’ and ‘how’ we do business. Everything we do is informed by and reinforced by our Core Philosophy. Second, thanks to Great Place to Work Institute for creating this program and not selecting us in the previous two years. That sharpened our focus and increased our determination to better represent the unique and wonderful culture we have at Infusionsoft. We are much better at articulating our workplace and cultural strengths to customers, partners, job candidates, workplace awards and others because of having done the work to improve our nomination year over year.
Third, thanks to local companies who proved it could be done and encouraged us to keep trying, most notably, McMurry (#8) and BestCompaniesAZ.
Finally, the most deserving of our thanks are our dedicated, passionate, super-talented employees. Seriously. We have a world-class team dedicated to serving our small business customers. We are revolutionizing the way small businesses grow. Huge props to the entire Infusionsoft family — I thank all of you for the privilege of working with you.
In order to revolutionize the way small businesses grow, we must have an excellent team. This recognition not only sends a signal from outside the walls of our company that we are doing something right, but it also allows us to attract more of the right talent. As we continue to grow our company, we will need to attract talent from other parts of the country. This national exposure may catch the attention of the next group of ‘A-Players’ we’re looking to hire. Maybe you’re one of them?
Another reason to celebrate is less obvious than finding and keeping great talent – but it is every bit as important – our brand. When there is complete alignment in a company about its ‘why’ and ‘how’, there is great power to make the right things happen. Customers get more of what they want, employees are fully engaged, partners are happy, and shareholders have big smiles on their faces. Receiving great-place-to-work recognition is a key indicator to any company that they are on the right track with delivering on the promise of their brand.
