I work in a call center; I live with IVRs. I cringe when my managers (who don't 'ride the trains') wonder why callers are shouting when they hear the first human voice. For all their talk about "a quality customer experience," they foment more torture than anything else on our callers, and are mystified when our clients complain. Amen, Kelly, amen!!
